Mining In Glitter Hole

Last Saturday we went to Glitter Hole and "mined for buried treasure like pirates".
lol Grant's imagination is so fun!
Glitter Hole is a cool and *ahem ahem* free thing to do just about 16 minutes south of Washington, Utah! You actually cross the AZ border- if you want to get technical.
Bring your pick axes, hammers and buckets because mining these crystals is so cool.

The kids had so much fun! Jaron and I did too- if you mine them in just the right angle, at just the right thickness, the crystals can come out clear as glass. It's beautiful!

If you're looking for Glitter Hole, Sparkle Mountain, or whatever you want to call it- you're going to find lots of maps online.

Don't waste your time.
Seriously.
Don't.

lol

Punch in these exact coordinates into your GPS and you'll be good as gold! ... or in this case... selenite. Ha. Carmina's got jokes.
