Grace's Surprise Birthday Party!

This year we had a spontaneous Surprise Birthday Party for Grace! It was so much fun to surprise her!

For her birthday this year Grace requested new dresses made by mommy and Grandma. Grace got to shop and pick out her own fabrics and the day before her birthday she got to sew them with us. (Well, she didn't do a whole lot. She got bored pretty quick but it was fun anyway) She got three cute new play dresses! She also asked for a xylophone for her birthday, which turned out to be a really awesome gift because Grant and Grace have since learned how to pick out and play several different songs by ear, as well as read the notes that came in the little music book!

While our family went and set up the party, I went and played in the backyard with the kids. I was able to take some cute pictures of them playing in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.

They absolutely love playing in this dirt!

These grapes from Grandma and Grandpa's backyard are so yummy! Grandma freezes them and they make such a good snack!

Jaron's siblings did such a good job setting up the Surprise Party! We had everything- yummy fruit and dip, decorations, party favors, all sorts of games, and Jaron even went and bought a Bluetooth speaker at Walmart that is able to play music really loud- so we even had some fun tunes playing; the kids loved that because in our family we definitely love our dance parties.

The Kids helped with cake and cupcakes! The homemade cream cheese frosting was yummy! We had lots of fun decorating with all the different sprinkles Grandma had.

Everyone played a Burrito game. I didn't play because I was big and pregnant- and from what I understand... you just bean each other with giant burritos as hard as you can.

Gracie requested a "little cake" like one of her friends had at their party. She loved it so much that she carried it around!

Since we just moved back, this party felt like a really nice way to celebrate our return. After a few years of birthday parties and celebrations with just us, it was really fun to be able to celebrate Grace surrounded by all our favorite people, in one of our favorite places ever.

Grace is wonderful, we love her more every day. Watching her grow has been a gift. She's just as brave and adventurous as ever! She's so smart and vibrant. We love you, Happy Birthday Goose Moose!
