Well, the fun in Mesquite couldn't last forever. We had to come back to California and it has been a struggle being here during the lockdown. We tried to get out of the apartment and do something as a family - Jaron surprised us and took us to the Big Basin Redwoods!
I want to say it was an amazing outing. But it wasn't. The plandemic makes things hard and awkward. Also- there were a BILLION mosquitos and we got eaten. It was so hard to enjoy the day mostly because of how many mosquitoes there were and how often they were biting us!
It was amazing to see the big trees. The kids thought it was so neat and they had a good time exploring.
Update: even though this wasn't the most fun outing we ever took... I'm glad we went. Because a year later.. another giant fire broke out in California and destroyed this park and burned many of these trees.
