Grant Lincoln: 15 Months

At 15 Months...

Mobility:
Grant has been walking for a while now, but it has been really watching him learn how to run. I think it may be because he's trying to keep up with his dog! He still isn't very good at it, and a lot of the time he will fall at least once.
He also knows how to go up the stairs (once, the little Houdini blasted through the baby gate and went up the stairs by himself- proceeding to give me a blasted heart attack.)  however, he doesn't know how to go down. We've tried teaching him how to go down by crawling backwards, but he is so insistent that he go down just like mom and dad- which isn't a good idea. at. all.
Sometimes, he tries to jump. It's really cute because his feet obviously don't leave the ground!

Language:
He knows how to say-
"Dad/Dada"
"Mama"
"Nana"
"Yo-ya" (Lola which is Tagalog for Grandma.)
"Ta-ee" (Tagalog for poop. Thanks mom.)
"Eeeeese" (Please)
"Ssssssss" (Juice)
"Wow"
"Uh-Oh"
And our newest adddition is "Hello"

We have taught him a bit of sign language too. He knows how to sign-
"Please"
"Bye-Bye"
and we're working on "all done." and after that we'll try "Thank you."

Abilities:
He has been too good at getting into the kitchen cabinets, so to keep my sanity I installed baby-proofers in the kitchen a few weeks ago.
He knows how to open doors.
He knows how get through baby gates.
He knows how to turn on/off the TV
He knows how to ask me to put his shoes on.
He knows how to ask you to read him a book.
He knows how to play "fetch" with Nana.

He understands and knows what to do if I say,
"Sit down."
"Can I have a kiss?"
"Say please."

Likes:
Grant likes being outside more than anything.
He likes   loves animals.
He likes to play with other kids.
He is really into Winnie The Pooh (The original of course.)

Dislikes:
His face/nose being wiped off.
Being told to come back inside.
When Nana follows him at nips at his diaper.
Being held down or held still for too long.
Water on his face.

Feeding/Care
He loves Oatmeal for breakfast, PB&J for lunch, and Fruit Snacks but he isn't really a picky eater. He loves to eat whatever we're eating and he'll eat just about anything.

He hasn't been on a bottle for a while now. Sometimes I'll give him one here or there, but only if the situation deems in necessary, like if I'm busy or something. He isn't attached to his bottle at all, so it isn't really a big deal for either of us that he goes without one. He happily drinks milk from a cup, and that's fine with me.

He is however VERY attached to his dang pacifier. We are currently in the process of weaning him off of it. It's been miserable.

He sleeps through the night which is nice.. hopefully that doesn't change when the baby comes.

Development:
Grant is 25lbs and I don't remember how tall... oops. He wears size 6 shoes though.. which seems big.
He has 5 teeth, but a TON are coming in all at the same time, including molars. So... that's been fun.
He was diagnosed with bronchiolitis a few weeks ago and was put on breathing treatments, but at our appointment the other day with our normal doctor, he said it was Asthma- but that he should outgrow it by the time he's 4.
He has had a ton of ear infections, but at our last appointment his ears looked great! Keeping our fingers crossed that they stay good!
Grant has a severe lip tie. Google it. We have an appointment with a specialist later this month, and our Dr. said odds are, he will have to be put under for the procedure. Yikes. We'll cross that bridge when it comes.

New Tricks:
Grant loves to dance. His newest trick is hilarious. Whenever we play Dark Lord Funk he dances like he can't stop.. lol it really is hilarious. soooooooooo stinkin funny!
